Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny returns with HD graphics and improved controls on the original game’s intense swordplay and dramatic revenge story. Play as Jubei Yagyu and make your way through feudal Japan with your allies. This game has additional language support adapted from the original script.

The story begins after Nobunaga Oda’s forces brutalize Jubei’s home village. Jubei discovers his destiny is to become an “Onimusha,” an Oni warrior, and is tasked with collecting five magical orbs (each representing a virtue) to defeat the demon menace once and for all.

The narrative is a blend of historical accounts and magical realism and features a unique “gift-giving” system where Jubei’s actions and interactions with four potential allies influence which sub-characters will join his quest, leading to branching storylines and different outcomes.

Game Features

• Elemental Weapons: Jubei acquires various element-based weapons throughout the game, such as the Thunder Sword and Ice Spear, each with its own magical abilities.
• Soul Absorption: Defeated enemies release colored souls that Jubei absorbs to restore health/magic, or to gain experience points used for upgrading weapons and armor.
• Ally System: Players can develop relationships with non-player characters by giving them gifts found throughout the world, which can determine if and how these characters assist Jubei, sometimes becoming briefly playable in their own side-quests.
• Onimusha Transformation: By absorbing purple demon souls, Jubei can temporarily transform into an invincible Onimusha with increased attack power.
• (REMASTER) New Gallery mode where you can view over 100 sketches by the game’s character designer, Keita Amemiya.
• (REMASTER) New digital soundtrack selection with all 43 tracks from the original soundtrack of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny.
