Repack Features

  • Based on DOOM.The.Dark.Ages-voices38 P2P ISO release: voices38-doom.the.dark.ages.iso (87,010,039,808 bytes)
  • Bonus OST in MP3 format (382 MB) added, thanks to SittingOnClouds!
  • Game version: Steam BuildID 20760608. Preorder/Premium DLCs are partially included: only Slayer and Divinity Skin Pack are available. Campaign DLC & ArtBook, which are the requires parts of “Premium Edition” are not included
  • 100% Lossless & MD5 Perfect: all files are identical to originals after installation
  • NOTHING ripped, NOTHING re-encoded
  • Selective Download feature: you may skip downloading and installing of non-English voiceovers and bonus OST. English VOs are included by default
  • Slightly smaller archive size (compressed from cumulative 81.4 to 75.2~76.1 GB, depending on selected components)
  • Installation takes 3-30 minutes (depending on your drive speed – installation on SSD is much faster than on HDD)
  • After-install integrity check so you could make sure that everything installed properly
  • HDD space after installation: up to 83.8 GB
  • Language can be changed in “steam_settingsconfigs.user.ini” file
  • At least 2 GB of free RAM (inc. virtual) required for installing this repack

Why Monkey Repack?

This game is using pretty slow Oodle compression library method called Kraken. I had this game repacked properly, it was smaller by 12.6 GB, but the installation time was awful: more than 1.5 hours on 32-threads CPU and around 6 hours on 8-threads CPU. Absolutely not worth the savings. Hence I did a Monkey Repack with basic compression only. And that any monkey can do.
